2020 COI Disclosure is available on April 13, 2020

Posted: April 9, 2020

The Ohio State University requires certain faculty members, staff members, postdoctoral researchers, and students to complete an annual financial disclosure to comply with federal conflict of interest (COI) regulations, accreditation requirements, and Ohio State University policies. This year, the new disclosure period begins April 13, 2020 with the required one-year look back disclosure period going back to April 14, 2019.

All individuals required to complete a COI disclosure will receive an email, advising them that the new disclosure period has opened, and that their 2020 disclosure should be completed. Instructions on how to complete the disclosure, along with information regarding what needs to be disclosed and how the disclosure is reviewed and approved, will be provided upon logging into the e-COI system at, using your Ohio State credentials. The 2020 eCOI disclosure form has been updated with simpler, more direct questions. We have also compiled helpful tips to remember when disclosing. These tips are available at

We ask that those who are able complete the eCOI disclosure do so by May 13, 2020. However, we recognize that for many of you, particularly those faculty and staff affiliated with the Wexner Medical Center, your work has been disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak. For those filers, we ask you to complete the eCOI disclosure at as your time and workload permits.

If a 2019 disclosure form is on file, it will no longer be editable after April 10, 2020. Please note that the 2019 form will not expire until June 30, 2020. This provides individuals time to complete the 2020 disclosure prior to expiration of the current disclosures.
