Welcome

The mission of the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) is to support and promote ethical research practices at The Ohio State University. ORC serves the OSU research community by coordinating institution-wide research compliance policy and procedure development, and by partnering with researchers, so that the University is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as University policies.



  1. eCOI
    Electronic Conflict of Interest screening/disclosure application.
  2. Misconduct
    Misconduct in research or scholarly activities.
  3. Export Control
    Policy and procedures regarding international university activities and export control regulations.
  1. Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
    Information regarding compliance with the NSF requirement for training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for all students and post-docs supported by NSF funding.
  1. Anonymous Reporting Line
    Anonymously and confidentially report activities that may involve unethical or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior in violation of OSU's established policies.
